MACHC Integrated Chart Committe (MICC):

At the 12th MACHC in ST. Kitts, the Conference considered and adopted the HSSC proposal to establish a coordinated group to develop and maintain integrated international chart schemes for both paper "International (INT) Charts and Electronic Nautical Charts (ENC) coverage for the region. Prior to this, INT Chart and ENC development activities were addressed by two independent committes, the International Chart Comittee and the Electronic Chart Committee.

The MICC is tasked with the development and maintenance of official nautical charts in both paper and digital formats

Marine Economic Infrastructure Programme (MEIP):

The MEIP Working Group is a subsidiary of the MesoAmerican and Caribbean Sea Hydrographic Commission (MEIPWG–MACHC) of the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO). The MEIP is working to create a geospatial framework as a foundation to enable sustainable economic growth through greater understanding of the ocean, coastal ecosystems and changing environment within the region, using hydrographic data as a planning and management tool.

Capacity Building Committee (CBC):


The Capacity Building Committee was established as a Committee at the last Commission meeting in November 2005, in Veracruz, Mexico, and thus is a very new committee. More information will be posted on this web site as the staff of this committee is identified and the terms of reference are developed.
